SAFEGUARDING

SAFEGUARDING

Protecting the health, well-being and human rights of individuals, allowing them to live free
from abuse, harm and neglect.

At Witley Church of England Infant school, we are passionate about all the individuals in our care. All members of staff share the same values and our ethos means that we are an inclusive school, where each and every person counts.

“Safeguarding is everyone's business.”

We recognise our moral and statutory responsibility to safeguard and promote the welfare of all children and adults. We make every effort to provide an environment in which all individuals feel safe, secure, valued and respected, and feel confident to talk if they are worried, believing they will be effectively listened to.

We have in place a comprehensive Safeguarding policy to provide staff, volunteers and governors with the framework they need in order to keep children safe and secure in our school. The policy also informs parents and carers how we will safeguard their children whilst they are in our care.

Are you a school volunteer?

Witley C of E Infant School is committed to ensuring all of our volunteers are confident to safeguard our children.

Please note that ALL volunteers are required to attend a workshop this year so we can ensure our helpers have all the information and skills they need to keep our children safe. Please contact the school office to book yourself on one of the workshops.
